In recent decades, developing countries, due to severe backwardness and haste to achieve higher economic growth and development, have faced wider and more dangerous environmental crises and problems. In this study, the effect of economic growth on environmental quality in selected developing countries is examined using the GMM method over the period 2010 to 2024. The results showed that economic growth has a positive effect on trade openness and carbon dioxide emissions have a negative effect on foreign trade. On the other hand, the variables of economic growth and trade openness have a positive and significant effect on carbon dioxide emissions. Therefore, appropriate policies for environmental protection along with economic growth policies and trade expansion can lead to improvement in environmental quality in addition to economic growth. Given the confirmation of the Pollution Haven Hypothesis (PHH) in the present study, the key regulatory and policy-making role of governments in developing countries is very important in maintaining the public health of the population and achieving the global sustainable development goals. Also, given the unfavorable economic conditions in Iran, it unfortunately seems that economic policymakers in this country not only completely prioritize achieving higher economic growth over managing environmental pollutants and protecting natural resources; they have also completely forgotten the imposition of supplementary regulations (incentives, carbon taxes, etc.) on the entry of foreign capital and even the government's supervisory and policy-making function in implementing a green economy.

The quality of the environment and its protection is one of the important issues in the field of management of countries. Therefore, all countries, along with growth and development policies, try to prevent environmental degradation by enacting laws and regulations in the national sphere and also by creating international agreements. In the meantime, in order to adopt appropriate policies in the field of economic growth and environmental quality, conducting more detailed studies can help policy makers in this regard. The purpose of this study is to investigate the interrelationships of three important variables of economic growth, degree of trade openness and carbon dioxide emissions in the group of developed countries. For this purpose, the annual data of 29 developed countries for the period 2017-2000 from the World Bank website have been used. The econometric approach used in this work is to estimate the relationships of these variables using dynamic panel data using the GMM method. The estimation results show that by increasing the degree of commercial openness and carbon dioxide emissions, economic growth is enhanced. Venice Economic growth also has a positive effect on the volume of foreign trade, but carbon dioxide emissions limit it. On the other hand, economic growth leads to increased carbon dioxide emissions and the growth of foreign trade reduces the intensity of carbon dioxide emissions.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of political stability and democracy on economic growth in member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This study estimated panel regression using a Generalizes Method of Moments (GMM) framework, on a sample of 34 OIC member countries for the period of 1986-2014. In this research, a composite indicator of Internal Conflict, External Conflict, Military in Politics, Ethnic and Religius Tensions Religion in Politics has been used to calculate the political stability index using the principal components analysis method (PCA). The results of the research show that political stability and democracy have a significant positive role in the economic growth.

In recent decades environment has been an important issue more than any other time. Hence, this study investigated the relationship between economic growth and environmental quality indicator in selected developing countries (including 32 country) for the period 2002-2013 by using a dynamic panel method based on generalized method of moments (GMM). The results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between economics growth and degradation of environment (environmental quality degradation), which means that an increase in environment degradation indicator increased the economic growth. This case is because of the rate of resource depletion begins to exceed the rate of resource regeneration and Pollution Haven Hypothesis in the studied countries. The results of Sargen and Arellano-bond autocorrelation test also respectively show, there is correlation between tools and component disruption and model does not have autocorrelation in the first order difference. Meanwhile results of Toda and Yamamoto Causality test show the existence of unilateral relationship from the Environment Degradation indicator to Economic Growth.

This paper investigates the effect of concentration and advertising on profitability in Iranian Industrial firms, with more than 9 employees. Dynamic panel data technique is used along with the data during the period 1374-1381 to study this issue. The results show that the concentrated industries have a higher profitability than the others. In addition, advertising has a positive effect on the profit of the Iranian industries.
